Should I assign a document that programs aren't asking for?

If you decide to assign additional documents, make sure they are value-added documents only that can showcase your sincere interest in that program or discipline (publications, evaluations, etc). Otherwise, it is best to only assign documents that the program has specifically requested in their program description.
