Are CaRMS translations certified or notarized?

Translations requested through the CaRMS Online system are actually completed by a third party certified translation agency called Société Gamma.

While translations provided by Société Gamma are not notarized, the company is certified under the CAN/CGSB 131.10:2008 Translation Services standard, Canada’s national industry standard for delivering translation services.

Should you require your medical school transcript to be notarized, you may print the translated version and have it notarized. If you require notarized versions of your MSPR or reference letters, we recommend that you obtain translation through a company that provides notarized translations.
