I am not eligible to apply to Québec programs in the regular stream of the R-1 match because I have a fellowship, what do I do?

Fellowships are defined as non-accredited specialized training experience offered by postgraduate training institution, with supervised patient contact that does not lead to certification/licensure.

In Québec only, fellowship experience that occurred in Canada or the US is considered postgraduate training. If you are unsure if the fellowship experience you have listed meets the definition above, please reach out to [e-mail] for confirmation.

If you have fellowship experience, you are not eligible to apply to programs in Québec. You must apply directly through Québec Faculties of Medicine within the particular stream.
