Some of my reference letters in the document tracking section have a status of submitted, while some have the status of scanned. Can I assign these reference letters?

Once the reference letter is submitted, its status on your Document Tracking page will change to one of the following:

  • Submitted: for online letters that were written inline by your referee
  • Uploaded: for letters that were uploaded online as pdfs, by your referee
  • Scanned: for letters that were sent by mail and uploaded by CaRMS

In each case, the letter has been added to your CaRMS account and is available for you to assign to programs
