The reason why a student would not appear on an Undergraduate office’s Class List in CaRMS Online will vary depending on the type of school and student as well.
Canadian medical schools
Your Undergraduate Portal account will automatically consist of the following applicant types:
• Current year graduates where the year of graduation is the same as the match year. Contact communication@carms.ca if they are part of this group, but still not appearing on your list.
AND
• Prior year graduates who have given their undergraduate office the necessary permissions through CaRMS Online when they first participated in the match. If they did not give permission, they will not appear on your list. The undergraduate office should contact the student directly and ask them to go to the My Application->Match Participation section in their own CaRMS Online account and select "Yes" to the sharing consent question.
United States and International medical schools
Your Undergraduate Portal account will only consist of the following applicant types:
• Current and Prior year graduates that have entered your medical school information accurately (Name, address, campus, etc). If they don’t match, this may be why they are not appearing on your list. In this case, you should contact the applicant directly and have them change the medical school information in their own CaRMS Online account accordingly.
If your school did not already have a CaRMS Online Undergraduate Portal account prior to the applicant participating to the match, the applicant must send an email to operations@carms.ca to give us permission to add their name to your new account.
