When a Medical School needs to send a Medical Student Performance Record (MSPR)/Dean’s Letter or Transcript, it’s best to ensure it arrives at CaRMS prior to the translation deadline of the match.
Receiving the document prior to the translation date is to ensure enough time for the document to be scanned into the applicant's account. Applicants can only request any translations once the document is in there.
Technically, we still accept MSPRs and Transcripts if they arrive later, but if applicants want those translated, it's no longer guaranteed that their translations will be completed by File Review deadline.
If you plan on having documents arrive at CaRMS later than the translation deadline, we recommend communicating with the applicant(s) in case it will affect any translations they intend on requesting.
