If you are applying through CaRMS in the R-1 Main Residency match as a current year graduate (your graduation date is the same as the current match year), you will most likely not have written any Medical Council of Canada exams yet. Therefore, you will most likely not have an existing MCC candidate code. Because of this, current year medical students are not expected to include any MCC related information within their CaRMS account. However, CMGs who are currently in a residency program and are applying through CaRMS in one of the Subspecialty Matches, will most likely have an MCC candidate code. These applicants can find their MCC candidate code from within their physiciansapply.ca account or may contact the MCC directly for assistance.
In the event that a current year CMG is simply scheduled to write an exam such as the MCCQE1 in the Spring following the first iteration of the R-1 match, they should not complete the "physiciansapply.ca transfers" section either as it is not required.
