Are there special streams or provisions for applicants who require accommodations due to a disability?

CaRMS does not collect nor distribute accommodation information via the application. Therefore, the applicant must apply within their designated stream (e.g. IMG or CMG stream). If an applicant is matched, they will then be required to outline any required accommodations to the Faculty directly.

The applicant can reach out to the faculty they are interested in training at and inquire about their accommodation process, typically they would use the contact information found in program descriptions. We also advise applicants to reach out to the Medical regulatory authority (MRA), which is the licensing body, in the provinces where they wish to train to ensure there are no licensing restrictions.

I would like to advise programs that I require accommodations due to a disability, where can I add this information within my application?
