I will be graduating later than July 1st, am I still eligible for the R-1 match?

If you graduate the same year as the match, e.g. you are a 2020 graduate applying to the 2020 Match, you will be allowed to remain in the match.

If your date of graduation changes to a different year than the match year, you will be withdrawn from the match year.

However, it must be clear when your date of graduation is to programs if it is beyond July 1^st of the match year. This is to ensure that programs are aware and can determine if they will accept you or not.

The date of degree must be modified in CaRMS Online so it is viewable to programs. Please contact your school if you need this date changed. It would also be beneficial for to mention this in a note to programs or via another route to ensure you do not run into any issues post-matching.
