Is there a Return of Service obligation for an applicant who's matched to a MOTP Surge program?

The Canadian Forces Health Services will not be holding an MOTP Surge for the 2024 R-1 Main Residency Match.

If an applicant is matched to an MOTP Surge position, you must:

• enroll in the Canadian Armed Forces;
• must complete four years of Obligatory Service post-completion of subsidized residency training and successfully obtain a licensure;
• must agree to a posting anywhere in Canada following completion of a Family Medicine Residency.
