Why do I have to pay fees to apply with CaRMS?

CaRMS is a not-for-profit, fee-for-service organization committed to providing exceptional service and value to our clients.

Our fees are determined on a cost-recovery basis, meaning that we charge only what it costs for us to provide our services.

For the R-1 2020 match cycle, we were happy to be able to reduce applicant fees for the third year in a row, and over the last few years we increased the number of applications included in the participation fee from four to nine. These fee reductions were implemented to reduce some of the financial burden we know applicants face.

We are committed to continuously finding efficiencies where possible and working closely with our clients to ensure they receive exceptional service and value.
