Why are program rank order lists not made public?

Keeping rank order lists confidential allows both applicants and programs to express their true preferences in a safe, protected way. Just as we would not make an applicant’s rank order list public, programs are afforded the same rights.

A main component of these values is ensuring our clients have a safe and protected method of making the decisions that are right for them, and this is achieved through the confidential nature of rank order lists.
