What is included in the information gathered outside of the CaRMS application of the program description?

Programs are asked to identify if any information gathered outside of the CaRMS application and their local interview process is used for evaluating purposes. 

If a program indicates that they will consider information gathered outside of the CaRMS application and their local interview process, they must indicate which situations will be considered from the following list: 

  • Social interaction during program related events 
  • Communication with program administration 
  • Social media 
  • Unsolicited reference letters 
  • Unsolicited email references 
  • Unsolicited verbal information on a candidate’s prior performance 
  • Unsolicited feedback from colleagues and co-workers 
  • Other
