Referees can make changes to letters even after having submitted them. However, this only applies to letters submitted in the current match year.
If a referee uploaded a letter as a .pdf, they can upload a new, updated version of that letter in place of the old one--all they would need to do is repeat the upload procedure.
For letters typed directly inline (in a CaRMS Online textbox), referees can edit the text, then submit the letter again.
If the letter was sent by email as an early reference, the referee would simply need to ensure the new one is submitted online using a CaRMS Online Referee account, prior to the deadlines noted in the timeline.
