What is a program?

A program is a defined postgraduate medical education training period in a specific discipline accredited by either the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, by the College of Family Physicians of Canada or by the Collège des médecins du Québec.

All programs in the CaRMS match are accredited training programs.

Each program name is a combination of the university, the specific discipline and the location where the training will primarily take place.
