How did we create the CaRMS self-identification questionnaire (CSIQ)?

The CSIQ was developed in consultation with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, and with feedback and support from the following to ensure that the questions asked are in line with current best practices, and that the language used is appropriate, respectful, and inclusive.

• Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS);
• Fédération médicale étudiante du Québec (FMEQ);
• Resident Doctors of Canada (RDoC);
• Fédération des médecins résidents du Québec (FMRQ)
• Postgraduate deans and undergraduate and student affairs leadership
• Representatives from the Black Medical Students Association of Canada (BMSAC), Indigenous Medical Students Association of Canada (IMSAC), and Canadian Association of Physicians with Disabilities (CAPD).
