Interview offer notifications are a new function within CaRMS Online, that launched for all matches in the 2020 cycle. This function allows programs to notify applicants whether they will or will not be selected for an interview. It's a new section under the match menu, titled Interview Offer Status.
This initiative is not an interview scheduling tool, but simply a way to inform applicants if they should expect to receive an emailed interview offer from the program, or not.
Programs will be able to assign one of three interview statuses for all applicants that have applied to their program:
- Selected for interview
- Not selected for interview
- Waitlisted – this status must be updated to either or the above prior to the end of the process
- Not conducting interviews in this match/iteration
Changes in statuses can be done individually and in bulk. Modifications can be made on CaRMS Online or by using an Excel file – generated on CaRMs Online or a pre-existing sheet that contains a column for the CaRMS ID and Status.
